American Ramp Company is a full-service action sports design and construction company. Over the last 25 years ARC has evolved from a mostly manufacturing and installation company to a multi-disciplinary planning, design, and construction firm specializing in public skate and bike infrastructure. Our passion is focused on creating fun and safe places for communities to gather and recreate. Our growth has required our team to expand into new disciplines and add depth in others. A love of action sports, cycling or skateboarding is certainly a plus but not required!

We are currently looking for an experienced Production Manager to organize and oversee ARC’s in-house production and fabrication facility. The right candidate will be responsible for the smooth running of all production areas, including CNC, welding, assembly, and logistics. Familiarity with metal fabrication processes and ability to direct personnel towards meeting production schedules is a must. Decision-making and problem-solving skills are necessary to fulfill the day-to-day requirements. Additional responsibilities include keeping an eye on existing equipment for things such as preventative maintenance and repairs to equipment that breaks down, responsibility for staffing levels, advising on equipment acquisition needs, and other day-to-day functions that might arise. This is a highly-visible position that reports to the Director of Operations, with a large number of indirect reports, and multiple direct report Supervisors.

 Responsibilities

• Organize workflow to meet deadlines
• Monitor production to resolve issues
• Supervise and evaluate performance of production personnel
• Advise upper management on potential future issues that are recognized
• Determine amount of necessary workforce
• Ensure output meets quality standards
• Enforce health and safety precautions
• Set goals for and motivate Supervisor direct reports. Help them to grow professionally – be a mentor and good example.

Requirements and skills

• Proven experience as production manager
• Experience and familiarity with metal fabrication processes
• Understanding of quality standards and health & safety regulations
• Knowledge of performance evaluation concepts
• Proficient in MS Office and ERP software
• Outstanding communication ability
• Excellent organizational and leaderships skills

• Strong decision-making skills and a results-driven approach
